Sustainibility Design Project

Background: This project was completed in my first year course ENGG 100 at the University of Alberta. The purpose of this project was to discover a problem in our daily life and propose a rational engineering solution to it.

So, in a team we explored problem in our vicinity and discovered the issue of people getting lost in superstructures such as shopping malls or hospitals. We proposed creating an app named 'Map my Building' which utilizes blueprints of building interiors to suggest the different routes to rooms or shops in large infrastructures. Statistics of cost to maintain and build app, along with overall app description, was presented to judges as part of the final report.

This project has taught me how to analyze available information and how to formulate appropriate technical solutions within a team environment.
